  1. kclcmdr Kai The Kmpire!

How about a really re-sized M1A2 or Centurion Tank that is OVERSIZED to a mini-BOLO battletank...??

    on anti-gravity Hover engines....... :p;7

    and update
    Samarkand. CH_18a -.DC - Agatha&Weir, Gov'tService, SixBillionMinions, Rhys, Maybourne, SlimyKinsey, Cassie&Jacob, Sammie
  2. misterq Mister Questionmark

    That won't end well...

    Sparks for the Spark Goddess,
    Clanks for the Clank Throne
  3. Alex12 Um...

Honestly, I doubt Agatha would be much affected by 40k. She's not going to try and emulate their designs, for example, because most of those designs suck.
Really, I doubt she'd be as uncreative as to make replicas of fictional stuff, aside from maybe a functional lightsaber or something like that as a gift to Teal'c.
  4. SapphireFox Fuzzy Fuzzball of DOOM!

Great now you have given me the image of Agatha sparking out and making a spark hybrid of a Lightsaber and a Highguard Forcelance. I doubt she would even intend on it, it would just be that she would keep on adding new features.
  5. Actually, Agatha's effectively become a secret Security Council member all by herself. Expect the other countries to be wary of her opinions. She's good enough to take Weir's cue that co-operation is more desirable than dominance. But, if need be, she's more than willing to give a stupidly annoying country a poke with the fork.

A nation that chooses to devote the center of its capital to museums is a *great* country in her eyes. I recall visiting the Air and Space Museum. Agatha is so there on her time off in Washington. I also remember the Museum of History. So many exhibits, and it was impossible to take in everything.

Flying machines in GG canon were really more Gil's hobby than Agatha's. Sparkgate Agatha's interest in them comes from Sam and enountering honest-to-goodness "raumschiffe". Jets would be more technically interesting than airships because the latter are a "settled" technology in Girl Genius.

That said, in Stargate physics a "space zeppelin" makes as much sense as any other for a spaceship. The Goa'uld build their ships explicitly on Rule of Cool principles because inertial dampeners, reactionless dress, and naquadah hulls allow them to create ships that are impractical yet functional. At least a BC-304 resembling the USS Macon makes *some* aerodynamic sense.

She may introduce Girl Genius airship technology into SG-Earth as *camouflage* for her space vessels. I can't see her as having in-depth knowledge of airship construction. She wasn't an aeronautical engineering type. But she would have a broad idea of the field, or seen a schematic in a magazine or a Heterodyne Boys novel appendix.
  6. I wonder what technologies she can make that she will allow for public consumption.
  7. Robo Jesus Your Mechanical Messiah

    Coffee machines.
  8. just replace the iron cross on these with the Heterodyne symbol [IMG]:D
  9. Atlan Coffee Addict

Not enough big honking space guns :D

Personally I'm waiting for the first Warclank with one swivelling red eye that responds to all commands with "By your command."
  10. Sure, she would be delighted by it - and inspired. Im just wondering how much of it and the surrounding city would be left standing after she makes some improvements to the exhibitions.
Sparks do tend to be universal geniuses, although with fields of special intrests and talents ( Agatha's seems to be Clanks and Deathrays ).
  11. TheLunarWolf Horribly Sarcastic One

Agatha is a Heterodyne, which can mean only one thing is gonna be going through the gate, the Heterodyne style funsized pain and agony dispensers
  12. mackon Missing & Presumed Dead

Its practically a Heterodyne signature. Those innocuous household appliances not only must be able to dispense massive amounts of mental trauma and property destruction while toasting a crumpet to perfection they have to ENJOY scaring the crap out of everybody and blowing holes in stuff.
  13. Pretty much. The Heterodyne family is pretty much the Official Royal Family of Sparkhood.

But god dammit, I want her to have Castle! Castle needs to get involved in this.
  14. Atlan Coffee Addict

Who needs the Castle when she has a mountain... :drevil:
  15. DaftTechno Geek trapped working a manual labor job.

It's not so much the Castle as a fortress they're talking about. It's more the Castle as a personality.
  16. Mostly because it's spark (and insanity) have bred true for almost five hundred years. Most other sparky lines don't have that kind of staying power, IIRC the Beetles were only a 3 generation house.
  17. kclcmdr Kai The Kmpire!

But she already thrusted a hole thur the mountain from her hidey lab-bolt-hole with just a Toaster..

Just think what a Waffle Maker or Steam Cooker Pot can do with the mountain as Madam Agatha at the helm of re-routing the circuits and power voltage.... :p;7:eek::D
  18. Lovely picture!
  19. Unfortunately she didn't bring a recording of old Faustos Heterodyne along with her to SG-verse, perhaps something the world should be grateful for since it certainly would cheer the idea of the Imperium Heterodynum.
  20. She made a man portable tunnel drill, her ancestors made a toaster sized city toaster. Size hardly seems relevant when it comes to Agatha's talent for destruction.
  21. ClavellWD Pod-King of the Primordium, Shaker of Things

Shut your filthy mouth! It's not talent for destruction, it's talent for creative uses of available materials!

(puts away his "MORE BOOM FOR THE BOOM GOD!" button, smiles)
  22. *ahem*

    From Chapter 10:

"HY VILL COMPLY." Red eyes dimmed while it retreated to a corner.

The trilobite-mask eyeslits of the Jaffaclanks glow red. :D

I'm tempted. But, as Mastigo pointed out, bringing in other Girl Genius elements besides shout outs and narrative echoes is problematic. Sparkgate Agatha is her own person, with her own journey.

I'm not entirely sure that the SGC would forgive Agatha for inflicting the Castle on the base. An AI whose idea of humour would be asking repeatedly if "anyone would like to play a nice game of thermonuclear war?' *right underneath NORAD HQ* is not one they'd find a pleasant caretaker.
  23. kclcmdr Kai The Kmpire!

    Blink ... BLINK! BLINK!!

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAArgh!!!!!

  24. mackon Missing & Presumed Dead

... I've lost track again, what time period is this for Stargate? Janet's still alive and Daniel hasn't started dying so often yet, have they've signed on with the protected planets treaty?
