During the Clone Wars, Jedi Anakin Skywalker was separated from his Master Obi-Wan for several months. Then he returned ...

Chancellor Palpatine, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the Jedi Mastes had entered the Jedi Council chambers, each thinking one of the others had summoned them. Then Anakin came in.

"You are all wondering what is going on," He began. "The matter is simple. You have wondered if I am the fulfillment of the Prophecy. Well - I am. I have found the Balance of the Force and discovered it's true nature. And there are going to be some changes around here.

"First, the Jedi Council is ordered to change it's policies. No more taking children from their families, and no more of this 'hazards of love' crap. I and my wife and our unborn children would appreciate it."

The sheer gall of this shocked the entire Council into speechlessness, and Palpatine almost smirked in public.

Anakin turned to him. "And you Palpatine - Darth Sidious - is commanded to order his minions in the Separatist Movement to stand down and end the war. And you will resign as Chancellor - your authority as secret ruler of the Trade Federation and Master of the Sith should be enough power for you."

Palaptine was now shocked as well, but the council was beginning to recover. Mace Windu stood up. "Anakin! What has happened to you? What are you doing?"

    "Setting things right."

Palpatine reached out with the Force. "Who do you think you are, boy?!"

The Force grip on Anakin's throat was shrugged off. "Who am I?" He ignited his lightsabre, which was a blazing green twisted into a shape like a corkscrew or a drill. The power spilling off him makes the assembled champions of the Light Force and the Dark Force recoil in shock and horror.

"Who am I? I am the one who has stepped beyond the light and dark sides of the Force, into the Spiral. I am the one who has shattered the bonds that have limited the cosmos! I am the one who who has unleashed the pure power of the human soul smashing through karma and fate! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?!"

And in a flare of green, the Jedi Tower explodes.

Proof that TTGL can improve anything, (as if we didn't already know).

So is this, possessed Anakin-wank? cos if it is, cool!

"Anakin-wank"? Disturbing image - although I know a couple of ladies who would grin to hear the term for their own reasons. Of course, these same ladies write Snape shipping fics ... [shudder] Let us not go there.}p

Actually, I don't know if the Spiral version of Anakin counts as Anakin anymore. After all, the first thing I think of when Clone-War-era Anakin Skywalker is mentioned is "whiny-butt". I always felt he needed a stiff shot of something to man him up, and the Philosophy of Kamina-ism is a good substitute for the Dark Side. Can such a changed character be considered a wanked version of the original? Or simply a substitute who happens to have the same name?

Not so much a plot tribble as fodder for a new thread:

    "Overheard in the tavern/pub/bar."

Basically, a random bit of dialouge hinting at something bigger, that can be freely inserted in just about any matching fic.

    ...

Which is just an excuse to post this line:

"... and that is when I learned that you never, under any circumstances, should get on the bad side of a god of fertilizer."

sounds like something from a discworld novel

Sunnydale is awash in Vampires/Demons/Weirdness because it's on top of a Hellmouth. LA is awash in Vampires/Demons/Weirdness because it's a big city. Cleveland also sits on top of a Hellmouth. It is also a big city. So, logically, it should have more Vampires/Demons/Weirdness than Sunnydale and LA combined. It has no Slayer or Champion of the Powers, so what fights the evil?

    Here we go:
I can't be the only who would like to see this ficlet expanded into a full blown story, can I?

    #8987b:
What happens when Slayers arrive in Cleveland and find out that, for a change, the cops have things well in hand?

Dr. Weir decides to have a paleontologist as part of the Atlantis Expedition. Her choice: Dr. Thomas Oliver.

    #8989 (SGA/Power Rangers: DinoThunder):
Dr. Anton Mercer, post-series, is part of the initial Atlantis Expedition.

While helping Carson with the retro-virus in Season 2, there's an accident that causes him to turn back into Mesogog, for good this time. In the resulting confusion, Mesogog makes his way to the Gateroom, and heads off-world.

Tooling around with a (potentially self insert) character concept.

A character which has been cursed to only exist in timeloops (of some variety). Has (or gains) some limited spacetime manipulation abilities, but mostly just savvy on what causes timeloops, how to exploit them, how to find out the conditions of it, how to break them... Also has a special ability to find and identify loopers - usually (but far from always) by showing up nearby to them at the start of the loop.

Mostly apathetic to loops and loopers - is not, strictly speaking immortal. If he dies in a loop, the loopers may experience him showing up again with no memory of the loop in which he died, but if a loop resets with him in it, he'll go back with the loopers.
Occasionally may offer to help loopers break the loop, or identify the cause.
Occasionally (if he takes a dislike to them and thinks he can get away with it) may decide to remind them they're not gods.
Occasionally may decide to mess with an otherwise stable time loop for shits and giggles (or just to get the hell out of it, because he's bored).

At one points, intentionally causes and sets up a time loop for the sole purpose of repeatedly killing himself in an attempt to cause a paradox (doesn't work). Will occasionally state the intent to try and break spacetime to see what happens.
