Even with no post limit we're burning through these
...PRAISE THE EMPEROR OF MANKIND!
Ahem.. Sorry im on an executioner tank high.
I'm in the middle of painting 106 miniatures
Damn you GW, damn you
"Come to the Federation! Where no matter how old you are you can still lead an popular uprising from the front lines."
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I was to be the first, I was to be the chosen one!
You play IG right?
So do I, and I have only painted 69 figures yet and I need to paint a minimum 100 more. Not to mention tanks I have ordered and have stored.
I got the new IG codex of Scribd and played my first game with it. Wonderful absolutely marvelous! I didnt even read any of the special abilities or the orders and I love it.
Just went by the shop to pick up a Techpriest, Lord Commie, and some Catachans to use as veterans.
Not to mention the damn Executioner I ordered from Forge World. DAMN YOU GW!
I absolutely hated my guard in the old codex
Copying message from the old thread:
And regarding Old Republic era characters, I have only Dark Jedi who were born in that era and still lives today, they were only young kids when Order 66 was issued and killed their Masters.
I have a talking rock from Kotor, does that count?
352nd Air Mobile Brigade, the Bug Stompers, specialist Tyranid hunters painted to look like Colonial Marines from Aliens
Their motto is 'We endanger species'
They die a lot
In other news, these latest two guys are the only named canon Characters I have, beside Cody that is, so I'm content to just rip off other shows for the rest of my cast
Alright, I will reveal the answer to 130+ABY Legacy Era reference since no one here answered.
*sounds the fanfare*
Aylzn Rae - Ex-lover of Cade Skywalker and Jedi-turned-Imperial Knight
I thought that it would be fun to create an ancestor of far future canonical character since the Legacy Era characters we all know and love will never exist in this time due to big changes. So creating Dinah Rae would be a good way to bring the spirit of Legacy-Era here in a way.
"Move to the Federation, you will get the most best healthcare plan in the galaxy."
Ood Bnar should be from KOTOR era.
Humm actually now I remember he is even before that
Why do we need the spirit of the legacy era? How about the good old fashioned spirit of RoE?
Thats why any characters I have are really minor or are directly tied to characters I created.
Btw where is Antonov?
I do want to bring in KOTOR atmosphere in to this game some how. So I think the large number of Sith and Dark Jedi will help contribute that.
Technically, I just realized that spirit exist in RoE already.
Look at the Shadow Walker Empire.
See the parallel between RoE's SWE and Legacy Era's Fel's Empire which was also led by a powerful force-sensitive emperor.
Wait a minute.... it could be that Dark Horse somehow visited this forum and lifted the SWE and used it as a template to create Fel's Empire years ago.
I'm inclined to agree, it shifts the focus much more on characters, and away from ships and tech.
Also I want massive sword fights.
I think the Legacy era focus too much on the leaders and not much on the foot soldiers and low level characters like KOTOR, I will want to bring in a little mix of both later on.
Bah still a punk kid in Halbret's eyes
*Looks at LC again and Smiles*
Plus, once Kaian is killed, the Sith Lords are gonna get a visit. And its gonna hurt.
Hence the reasons to why I'm going to start training my GC security forces on ships and military bases to fight with melee weapons and not with just blasters after this Sith attack.
One well trained security man trained to fight with melee weapons would keep the Sith scum busy for whole 3 seconds instead of just 1 it takes to cleave the security guard in two peices
Thats why I have the Gamorreans, The Sauvax, and the Death Companies lads
IMHO, I think that KOTOR comic is much better than the games because it focus on typical people like Zayne Carrick suddenly caught up in waaay awesome adventures and kick up trail of mayhem in their wake around the galaxy.
Hell, these ordinary people actually shaped and influence the fate of galaxy in very many ways even more than Revan or Exile could do, both indirectly and directly.
Halbret is over 5000 years old?
Umm, the interestign characters in the Kotor games I tohught were your companions. Deep deep characters who get caught up in the biggest destiny of all time and deal with it.
