[Supernatural] 11-19-10, "Clap Your Hands If You Believe"

1. Well that was the funniest hour of TV I can remember seeing in a very long time.

That means the next episode will be very heavy indeed.
What was everyones favorite quote?
Mine were
"So Dean did you .......service Oberon King of the Faeries?"

"Why ask me? You're the one who hot pocketed Tinkerbell"

"Son, I don't even know what kind of hate crime this is"
and of course Dean getting dragged into the police car while he is screaming "Fight the Faeries! Fight the Faeries!"
2. Aspriles "Scoped and dropped!"

"It was a little, glowing...hot, naked lady with nipples and she hit me."

"I'm not supposed to laugh right?"
3. So what were the aliens like? "Grabby incandescent douchbags."
4. I honestly didn't expect Picardo character to be bad guy. Very nice and fun episode.

Ah... poor fay folks, all having OCD.
5. Gecko4lif Tristitia

"Hey do me a favor. Count this"
"*groan*... You douche bag..."
6. FireHazard He Exists

Souless Sam really seems to be a comedy goldmine. Pretty cool that.
7. Gecko4lif Tristitia

I hope the series ends with him souless
8. Nooooo! That will leave them hooks to revive the show later. It should end with season 6, it must end.
9. ggs Apprentice Arm Commander

I liked the comment that Sam was souless and not brainless, and that deals with supernatural stuff never goes right.
10. Looking at previous seasons it would appear that for Sam its "soul or brain, pick one".
11. Dessolution Stealin' Stones and Bones

I'm guessing another body is going to be made for the soulless Sam. Imagine that, two Sam's, one soulless and another with a soul. And Dean is in the middle of all of it.

Now THAT would make for a comedy goldmine.

I think soulless Sam is just Sam without a soul. He's not a different entity. He has emotions, he just does not form connections based on them, other than pure pleasure type of issues.

I like how they squeezed buttfuck into the episode, with the butt... and then phone interruption to cover the fuck part.

Picardo has shown why he is such a great actor and just about the only thing worth watching on Voyager (It was a Trek alumni return to tv week, as two other Trek actors, Conner Trinner and John Billingsly appeared on the mentalist this week. I think that I might have spotted another one, Jeri Ryan on a legal show, but that might have been last week).

I wonder if this is a set up towards a long term plot point.

Raw hypthetical here.... what if Death and God are basically really old Faerie's from their universe, etc.
13. What I really want to know is if the faerie really could do what he said, and somehow extract Sam's soul from Lucifer's cage. Are faeries really that powerful in Supernatural?
14. Dessolution Stealin' Stones and Bones

They have no relevant connection to where the Faerie's are from.
15. Something I didn't comment on before, but the "X-files" opening of the episode was epic.
16. thtadthtshldntb Anti nBSG Troll

We neither know nor don't know that. That's why its a raw hypothesis.

I think this is a lead in episode to something. Now we have to see what it connects to down the line.
17. Dessolution Stealin' Stones and Bones

No, we do know that. The way he stated, "angels" and the "Devil" in such a distant tone suggests they are not connected at all. And it was never stated nor has there been ever any 'hint' as to where GOD and Death came from. Not to mention the way he stated their magic is better then any angel or devil magic.

And this new seasons shows off other monsters and mythical creatures that came out to play because the threat of the ending the world by the devil is over. Having any link to the Devil and God would just backtrack back to previous seasons.
18. thtadthtshldntb Anti nBSG Troll

Or it was contempt for his fellow "Faeries" which went and made a new universe and blocked them from rampaging through it.

Clearly the long term storyline of the civil war and heaven and the search for God is still on.

It has also been confirmed that a Horseman will appear this season. And IIRC, the only one that could possibly be is Death, given the fate of the other ones.
19. Kinda makes sense, other deities existed before the Christian mythos in the Supernaturalverse, so if spirits existed in other mythos, it presumes spirits and fae existing for a loooong time. And if belief is a factor in power (which is why the other deities could get smacked and killed by Lucifer), the belief in fae seems still there.
20. thtadthtshldntb Anti nBSG Troll

Other deities existed before the Judeo-Christian-Islamic religions in Supernatural. God and Death are billions of years old, older than the universe it seems. Since God created it. Lucifer kicked their asses because Lucifer and Michael are just about the 3rd and 4th most powerful beings in creation, after God and Death. Now we have this seemingly out of nowhere episode that introduces a new power faction from outside the universe, the main one being played by a semi big name actor. In there history of Supernatural, episodes like this have always come back linked to something.

Also, the brothers now have the book with spells and rituals connected to the beings. And we have the name of the faerie king, Oberon, mentioned repeatedly.

While, as I have said, the God and Devil link is merely a raw hypothesis, I can state matter of factly, that this episode is tied to something coming down the line.
21. The trailer for the next episode looks good, shame we are going to have to wait two weeks for the episode.

22. If Death wasn't lying, both it and God are really really old, and universe is a big place. Angels might be responsible for more than just Earth, or maybe Ezekiel was just refereeing to previous global disasters that hit Earth (wouldn't be surprised if both the Flood and Toba were real at same time in Supernatural-verse).
Lucifer is a rebelled angel who didn't like humans and took over Hell (or maybe created it, it never goes to say either).
23. Damar Genuine Mastermind

"They're after me!"
"You better run man. I heard the Fourth Kind is a butt thing."
"Empathy, Sam, empathy!"
*Sam orders another drink*
24. Nicodemus Espanholadas

:D

"Dean what is it?"

"close encounter!!.....Shit!............CLOSE ENCOUNTER!!!!!!!!"
25. Aye. It wasn't much of a "my face hurts from too much laughing" as was "I had a constant grin on my face for half a hour, I think I'll get cramps soon".
