What was that line from Gordon about his daughter nearly being killed? Also, I wasn't paying attention when Bruce got mad at Alfred over some letter. What happened there? All I understood was that Rachel had chosen Harvey Dent over Bruce.
Bane is scariest when he's happy and/or cheery/chipper. *Passes Rama a handkerchief to help get the dust out of his eyes.*
Personally, I liked Adam West in his cartoon Batman from childhood memories: The Bat-mite character was cute and sort of like Tom Bombadil or Gazoo, because he was this alien with crazy powers. And of course Batgirl was drawn really hot-looking. She does seem to sound like She-Ra, now that I notice it. Filmation made both shows, of course.
I was confused because I was waiting to see the actress that said she plays Talia while at one of those convention talk panels. I wonder: Riddick vs Bane I'm glad to see this iteration of Batman finished. This third movie made me more sleepy than the others.
I was wondering about whether the Doctor from the Pit could beat the old man who stands up to Loki from the Berlin scene in a fight? VS Who'd win in a cage match?
One of my favorite line's was Bane scoffing at Littlefinger's ruse. "Perhaps they're wondering why you should shoot a man and then throw him out of a plane." Given that it's been about 20 years or so between escapes, are you really gonna keep guards there all the time? You've probably got better things for your goons to be doing.
So Bane is stronger now than he was 20 years ago? He got his face kicked in 20 years ago, but now he can crush anybody?
No, thats a slight misunderstaanding I think through tis been a while, they originally targeted Gotham as the leading city for a corrupt world. The plan was to destroy well the equivalent of New York City, and then let the rest of the world get shocked into compliance. Destroying say a city in somalia wouldn't achieve that, because well, it's the city equivalent to the Gang Banger. It's expected, taking out the most important city, in the worlds most powerful nation on earth, well that would they thought make people sit up and go 'If it could happen to them it could happen to us!'
Man Power. Those guards, guarding a man you are utterly one hundred percent convinced cannot escape, that in twenty years exactly one person has escaped from despite multiple daily attempts by the collected inmates, that guard is a waste of resources. Lets say everyday one person makes the attempt to escape, thats 7305 failed escape attempts since Talia actually managed it. So why the hell would you waste men watching over a cripple whose only means of escape is to attempt something that has been failed 7305 times since the last person to succeed, and by people who are not crippled? Seriously, putting a guard over that hole would have been a waste of manpower, as far as Bane was concerned and while he may have been willing to sacriface his men for the plan, throwing them away to stand over a hole in the ground was utterly pointless. (20*365+5 obviously for the number of failed escape attempts) Edit and wow I can't believe I did that on the number of days in a year, siigghhh....
Also going to add earlier someone said a laptop breaking into the stock exchange is not realisitc. Completly agree, thats why it didn't happen. The laptop was not how they hacked the Stock Exchange, they didn't hack the stock exchange. They broke in, held everyone up, took physical control over the actual computers, and used Bruces Fingerprints to authorise everything they then proceeded to do, the lap top simply continued the whole process afterwards, but it was not how they broke into the stock exchange.
I liked the cheeriness. It would have taken so much away from the character if he was yet another snarling villain. Instead Bane seems somewhat affable, in line with his intelligence and ability.
And now many of those prisoners in the past are League of Shadows-trained? Bruce was. Plus the prison did have Guards in the flashback, so obviously at least in the past the place did have Guards to help prevent that kind of escape. Why they evidently did not have Guards now is a mystery. As for manpower issues....they're a large enough terrorist organization to take over Gotham. I think they can spare a half-dozen guys or hire a dozen mercs to Guard the prison. I doubt Bane or Talia are lacking resources. At the very least bribe the prisoners not to help him. So yes, you would waste what would be surely be a small sum in resources making sure nobody like the prison doctor, helped Bruce heal and escape.
Ra's men killed the gaurds. When bane took control of the prison he removed the gaurds. You dont need gaurds when nobody can escape. Except little girls... and batman.
Evidently, the Guards in the past appeared to have hampered any escape attempts. In the flashback we saw Bane fending off Guards to allow Talia to escape. Without any Guards the prisoners would logically organize and make a pully system or something to escape. At the very least, bribe the prisoners not to help Bruce recover. Or spend what surely would be a small sum on hiring some local thugs to protect bruce from any prisoner who might try and kill him before his sentence was completed or to prevent the off chance he would escape. EDIT: Or hell, what about Guards to prevent an outside prison break, you know, like Ras and his men did.
