Your profession will soon be obsolete in the People's Republic of Arminas. People will merely cite the correct wikipedia articles in a calm discussion, possibly getting sidelined as they accidentally go on a wiki-binge that leads them to "famous cricket players of India". And every once in a while, the government bombs carpet bombs an Arab state /not/ ruled by a tinpot dictatorship.

Oh, what a glorious future it will be.
  2. Xort Mahō Shōjo

What part of jumping an overweight man from behind requires any assassin skills beyound being a punk?

Also what's so hard about pulling a holstered pistol and shooting a guy once in the chest?
Well you haven't made a case for Trayvon being anything but a punk ass kid that thought he could beat an old man and get away with it.
  3. Ah, but SYG renders you immune to prosecution if you acted in self-defense. So you have to have a trial to determine if it was self-defense, but if it was self-defense you can't have a trial because it was self-defense and you have immunity to being charged.

Hey! Did someone decide to rewrite Catch-22 as a modern legal thriller and instead it got passed into law? ;7

    Master Arminas
  4. Oh, we'll only bomb folks if we declare war because they did something really, really bad to us. Otherwise, what they do in their own countries ain't any business of ours. :D

There is a reason why "Not Guilty for reasons of Self-Defense," is a plea in trials.

Mind you, there was specific evidence that the suspect did more than stand their ground in this case anyway.
  6. You don't understand the Stand Your Ground Law. If a person stalked and pursued another, initiating the confrontation, they are not protected by it.

It is what it says on the tin.
  7. MJ12 Commando Al-Foamy Subversive

A paranoid overweight man who was apparently following you continuously. And doing so from conversation, because every bit of evidence points out that there was a verbal altercation.

Doing it while apparently being beaten savagely, and getting a precise shot off? That's not impossible, but Zimmerman isn't exactly some kind of ridiculous hard-man you know.

He's either a 'punk ass kid' who Zimmerman shot in cold blood because he was a deranged paranoid fuck, or Zimmerman is the survivor of a horror movie and slated to die in the sequel.
  8. Zeronet No Gods, No Masters

Don't these laws legalise gang wars? I mean, if one or both sides have a legal gun and the other side threatens them, it's free license to shoot em up.

Also part of me thinks maybe Zimmerman himself isn't racist, just a crazy man, but the department who bizarrely backed him up to the hilt...might be. Then again, he might of called Trey a raccoon, without the Rac.
  9. Xort Mahō Shōjo

Should I assume you mean cautious rather than the medical term of paranoid?

He went up, talked to the kid then walked away. Now a 17 year old male doesn't have to take shit from anyone so when to go teach him a lesson about respect.
If you were being beaten and you were armed, would you not put all your effort into drawing your weapon?
What's more likely Zimmerman set out to murder someone that day? Or a 17 year old male didn't like some fat half mexican asking him where he was going?
  10. You know if someone was following you possibly with gun in sight what would you do.

Like really no one is alive to say if the gun could be seen or was drawn.
  11. All of this according to Zimmerman's Dad. Excuse me while I hold my breath on believing him. Especially with a 911 call where you clearly hear someone screaming for help before being shot that is obviously NOT Zimmerman. And when I say obviously I mean it's been analyzed by the same shit the CIA and FBI uses.

You people trying to turn this into something it's not is fucking stupid.

He's a wanna-be cop who couldn't cut it and decided to play Sheriff.
  12. That exactly he got himself into trouble by trying to act like a cop without the training or attitude to do it.
The police made things worse by failing to charge him on the night regardless treyvons Death needed to be investigated and probably settled in court.
deciding a dead unarmed black kid a legit shoot on the night and thinking that would be the end of it Madness:(
but then the police force has a record of beating blacks up is fine and lawful pursuit*

*well lawful till the media get the video anyway

One might point out that self-defence is an affirmative defence. It's essentially admitting that yes, you did the deed, but it wasn't a crime because of the circumstances. It shifts the burden of proof to the defence rather than the prosecution, because you have to establish that it was indeed self-defence. The prosecution's job is then to destroy your case, rather than building their own, because you've confirmed that you performed the act.
  14. higbvuyb hfdsjhfgjnsf

Oh, so you do agree that SYG is a dumb law.
  15. southdakotaboy Bursting liberal bubbles

There are a lot more then three of these idiots and they are just as dangerous as any Neo Nazi group.

No, I don't think so. You guys are about to learn that the right no longer gives a rat's ass about the race card. You lefties can scream and lie about racism, but it doesn't work anymore and we aren't intimidated by it anymore. So you guys can go follow your own advice:D
  16. Alema Arcanae Mandarae

Do you refer to yourself in the plural often?
Since I only assume the best of other persons, I have to believe you are royalty. Another interpretation would be less positive.

But that brings me to the question of your exact position in the line to the throne, and the correct itel to address you with.
Is your lordship sufficent, or would prince more suitable?
Maybe it is even Emperor of the United States of America?
  17. Lord Squishy Shadow Cabal Member

Isn't your whole point here that you are intimidated by it and that it does work?
  18. Harry Leferts That Suave Kaiju

Xort, you realize that, that pic has been proven not to be Martin along with the fact that it first appeared on a White Supremist's Website right?
  19. Apollyon1184 Evil Porcine Liberal

I tried googling "how many members of the new black panther party are there"

    Which lead me to this

Then I read the comments. Apparently this is not caring about the race card.

Still didn't find out the answer to my question :(
  20. White supremacist sites have been actively generating Teryvon "Motivators" using various generic "scary black men." As to why Xort is coming into possession of these, *shrug*. Mods don't seem compelled to do anything about it... :(
  21. Baladar Mad Scientist In Training

So SDB shall be known as Queen of SB! :D

On topic now, does anyone have evidence the victim attacked Zimmerman? Because I'm seeing a lot of people saying that's what happened, but some hard objective proof would be nice.

Note the use of the word victim, as his killer has been charged with murder, ie law enforcement most likely do not believe Martin attacked Zimmerman unprovoked if he did attack him at all.
  22. Leo1 Vicious Attack Dog

    There's absolutely no evidence AFAIK.
  23. Just police reports that Zimmerman had a broken nose and gashes in the back of his head, video that showed the same when looked at, police and EMS reports of his injuries, and eyewitness reports that Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman before being shot.

Also check out this map of the neighborhood, complete with locations and times based off released 911 tapes.

Right now at best 2nd Degree Murder seems to be overreach by the prosecutor AFAIK you need truly depraved indeference to the consequences, which is far higher than simply being reckless.
  24. Actually its more there is very questionable evidence

AS in it appears ina secondary police report, but not the inital one. Which at a minimum indicates sloppy police work, But when the department already has a reputation for cover ups it becomes a potential smoking gun.

The severity of the assault is also questionable, with the main claim being ZImmerman had a bloody nose and had his head repeatedly slammed into the concrete. THan supposedly refusing treatment from EMTs

which as JC and other emergency responders are quick to point out is suspicious in and of itself. AS 'repeatedly slammed head into concrete' is a potential concussion and thus EMT's would be legally required to ignore any refusal of treatment due to potential imparied mental capacity.

As far as I know the EMT report on the night in question have not been released, so the whole 'bloody nose and repeated slamming' is still highly questionable and still looks rather fishy on the face of things.

    edit:

@nikas the video has been debunked, or at least highly questioned at SB already. With pointing out that its equally likely the 'gash on his head' being equally likely just to be a tuft of hair.
  25. Contemplator Reader of Readables

No. You have a police report filled out by 2 different officers, only one of which mentions injuries. You have a questionably"enhanced" video that shows a complete lack of blood or bandages and you have EMS workers who did not force Zimmerman to go to the hospital even though it would have been mandatory with head injuries.
