Twisted Fates SD: Interest and Recruitment

  1. Sliverlord Just waiting for you to walk by.

Do we even have flashbangs? Or is that me throwing bolts of high-current/high-amperage lightning through windows?

I figured to open up with the gas right into the first floor, perhaps draw a couple of other enemies downstairs while a second team goes for the windows (I can leave a line behind me on the way up). Max can probably take a few bullets as the armored tank he is. We need to get rid of those downstairs reinforcements, the gas likely won't get all of them. We then send Max in the front door and have him draw fire down the stairs, and perhaps drag the Minotaur down. Then we hit the hostages at the same time. Pincer them between lightning, arrows, fire, and an Iron Golem. We want a cordon around the hostages. The girl that Eddie has is going to be a secondary priority, we'll try to save her.

But I call the Drow, if he survives... I want him for a make-up gift.
  2. Madork Gunna Ork Flyboy

So, basic plan is I barge in through the front door, while the rest takes the sneaky way in? I'm okay with that.

I'll probably take Jake with me to assist there, as well as the battle couple in case the whole this goes ***s up. Alice will guard what's left of the house. Sound good?
  3. OblivionWolf Dead Not Sleeping

The forces present section of the post represent the forces you can use. The group you met is defending their non combatants. So no jake and no battle couple. In the future you could recruit them to be part of your supporting npc roster but for now you're stuck with what you started with. Sorry.

The small natl guard armory does not have flash bangs. All pham has for kara would be a smoke grenade.
  4. Sliverlord Just waiting for you to walk by.

I thought so... We've got what we started with, plus a little bit of extra equipment. We'll go recruiting later.

But yeah, basic plan is the tank goes in the front, gases the bottom floor, causes havoc and possibly draws down more from above while the second group goes in all sneaky-like for a pincer.
  5. Madork Gunna Ork Flyboy

If these are just the forces we can see, does this change the plan any? Also, who has the final say whether the gassing is a go? No offence, but I don't think Samuel is stable enough.
  6. Sliverlord Just waiting for you to walk by.

Well, someone actually has sense enough not to let the psychotic spider-man choose whether or not to use chemical weapons on a variety of test subjects opponents...
  7. Citrakite It's no fun when you know the trick already.

Thought ROTC might have it in their supplies but seems not.

Smoke Grenade. Not sure I want to fight something potentially trained in blind fighting like a Drow in a blinding gas cloud. Maybe on Eddie of the lizard with the shotgun in the second room. toss it in, he comes stumbling out and I help him breath better by ventilating his chest.

The Drow then will be taken alive.
  8. OblivionWolf Dead Not Sleeping

Yea, ROTC itself has precisely zero real weapons. Its just fortunate for them that in the real world town this is based off there really is a national guard armory just a couple blocks to the north of campus.

You guys can initiate the attack whenever, the positions of the enemies on the map are accurate up until you strike.
  9. Citrakite It's no fun when you know the trick already.

So we're going with Marduk's plan.
  10. OblivionWolf Dead Not Sleeping

And Exterminatus has dropped out. Adali is now an NPC and not currently usable for this battle.
  11. Madork Gunna Ork Flyboy

I'm okay with the general plan, just not clear on who will detonate the gas. As sliver said, letting the psycho spider man choose isn't exactly a bright idea. Also, repeating request for some plan of economy and who to finally ally with.

I'm okay with throwing my lot in with the ROTC even if we're going to have to find a way to lodge non-human allies, or we could try and find some other faction that'll take us. Not the orc camp by the way. Brillback's not really going to get anywhere with his 'strongest rule' idea, it will devolve into anarchy and adding more people to that powder keg will only accelerate that.

Much as I despise the guy, the Mino's got a point, we're going to have to choose our battles after a while. Supplies in Magruder are not infinite, we will need to move or find a way to seriously resupply at some point.
  12. OblivionWolf Dead Not Sleeping

For gas detonation you still have some npcs at your disposal. Sliver could take one
  13. Sliverlord Just waiting for you to walk by.

I figured that we give it to Max, he wades in the front door, starts fighting, and sets off the gas. Hopefully catching anybody who came to stop him and anyone who decided to come downstairs. Takes the responsibility from the psycho chem-spider, and gives it to someone who is incredibly level headed. (I mean seriously, we can balance teacups on it...)

They're just breakable canisters, the stuff is under pressure to stay liquid, crack it and it should vaporize and spread in the air, providing coverage for the first floor. Just fling them around when you Kool-Aid Man your way in.

Edit: Uh, Madork, we don't have Magruder, that's where the shadows have taken over... We have the tree-house in the center of the map. But yeah, we'll probably end up allied with ROTC, even if we have problems trying to get any people safely stowed away.
  14. Madork Gunna Ork Flyboy

Way I see it, we provide shelter to the ones the ROTC won't accept. We really need to get in touch with them about that. Personal preference goes out to formally remaining separate groups, even though informally we might as well be one. Biggest problem I see might be racism issues, we need to at least get that leader of theirs on the level.
  15. Sliverlord Just waiting for you to walk by.

Yeah, that's going to be a pain in the ass, we'll probably have to move out of the tree and into the northwestern corner, more room that way and it's less likely to get eaten by shadows in the near future/isn't close to demons/isn't close to the barbarian Brillback hordes/isn't in the water...

And you should go and talk to the ROTC guy, if I did it, it might end up completely killing the relationship between our groups.
  16. Madork Gunna Ork Flyboy

Does the guy even know I'm sentient yet? I agree though, Allisa's fine for when we gotta deal with true diplomats, this guy it seems requires a more direct approach.
  17. Sliverlord Just waiting for you to walk by.

He probably doesn't know, not that he'll be any more helpful if he did.

Then again, you're a better choice than I am, considering what I am, as well as what I've been doing. Because I'm keeping one of my canisters, for later use and analysis. He would probably antagonize me into using it on him. So in general, I stay away from ROTC, you stay away from the Shadow-lady and her place (She's probably quite mad at you, I'm going to have to bring her another present to get her to let me in at least.)

But we're probably going to have to get rid of Brillback, he's somewhat stable, but his people... That's where things go wrong. Then there's the demons living across the river. One good thing about me getting minionized by evil, they tend to tell me where the lairs are.
  18. OblivionWolf Dead Not Sleeping

In the end, someone's going to just post and get this attack started. I'd post something but the marauders are simply waiting you guys out. Once you guys make a move that they notice, I'll come up with their response. But as I said before, you can control their actions like Gunna did in his post, if you have the inclination.
  19. Sliverlord Just waiting for you to walk by.

Alright, if it's started by us, and we're waiting for me to arrive with the secret-weapon. I'll get to posting then.

    *Starts working*

Quick OoB so I know what's going on and who's with who. People in bold lead their respective group. Will edit frequently to keep it updated.

  21. OblivionWolf Dead Not Sleeping

Sorry for lack of clarity on my part:

    Home Base:
    Allissa (returned after rotc diplomacy)
    Moira Essen
    Louis Anderson
    Cecile Rhodes
    Elizabeth Stone
    Sarah Schuler
    Hilary Griffin
    Adali

Other than Adali, none of them had any combat skills or strong inclinations to fight (excepting Sarah).
Louis, Cecile, and Elizabeth are doing their best to guard along with Allissa and Moira backing them up as well as can be expected with bows but little training.

    Fortified House on Main St:
    Eric
    Roakeer
    David

Stayed with the group MAX aided. Eric healing their wounded and watching over a concussed Roakeer. David stayed to guard the healer.

    Present for this Assault:
    MAX
    Samuel
Kara (dealing with ROTC squad, back any moment)
    Shannon
    Verras
    Sally
    Jordan
  22. Madork Gunna Ork Flyboy

Edited OoB. Oseng, reserve is only because I didn't know where to put Shannon. Feel free to make your own plan and I'll put it in. I at the very least plan to post a series of small posts instead of one large one, that should leave plenty of time between 'turns' to respond should you want to do a team battle.
  23. Citrakite It's no fun when you know the trick already.

Sorry forgot I left Kara hanging with the ROTC issue.
  24. Tabi AsukaQuest Has Infected Me With Cat Ears

Poking my head in here, but just wondering if being a mandrake mage is at all possible? When the says the type isn't set in stone...
