Twisted Fates SD: Interest and Recruitment

I'm going to explain MAX's trait a bit so everyone understands the concept but as a rule I won't do that.

Glorious Galvanizing Guardian

Madork has consistently shown his character to throw himself into the thick of things to defend others. He's consistently flamboyant and boisterous. He also several times has been a strong moral support for those around him.

He'll receive both bonuses and negatives in dealing with NPC's due to this Trait during the episode based on their inclinations.

But the real focus of this is during the often mentioned 'Daily Period' that will take place upon the completion of the episode.

MAX's trait isn't necessarily a good thing in all cases.

You get to choose 3 Priorities that your character will attempt to work on during each day. Things like training and studying to improve one's character. Madork can choose these things but due to this trait, there's a pretty decent chance MAX will sally forth and attempt to protect innocents and right wrongs rather than doing something inherently selfish. Events will occur during a day that a character can use a Priority to investigate. Sometimes that's a bad idea. Madork can specifically not choose to investigate and it's possible that MAX will do so anyway due to this trait. There are other parts to this trait but I leave that to you to figure out. It's more fun that way.

I know it's frustrating not knowing how to make progress in your trait. If you look back you might see that your trait was progressed after periods in which you were interacting with others.

Vieralyn can wait for the Daily Period. Not that you can't go after her but I'm afraid I must insist that the group stay together. Either everyone goes out or everyone goes further in to Magruder. Running this SD is a bit too demanding if I'm creating so many different threads. The Daily Period is designed so that characters can go off and do their own thing.

Very Awesome. You have earned your trait. Precisely Prompt Pragmatist. Is that good? I don't know but I can tell you it'll give you issues with the other Angels down the line...

Very interesting trait though I wish I got a new weapon too or perhaps a glorious level boost. Hmm, maybe I can use one of the larger feathers of my foe as a sword. It'd be light weight and strong as hell. A pseudo-long sword if you will.

I really should of proof read my post before submitting it but at the time I was in a rush and didn't want to be late for work or wait until now to post my response.

Thank you Oblivion though, I'll get my character back to the group since scouting and exploring alone is dangerous.

Given that my class is Barbarian at the moment, my standard way of training generally involves 'sallying forth and righting wrongs' anyway (although in retrospect, Paladin of Kamina would have been a better class choice). Possibly interrupted by periods of stretching and seeing what my new body is capable of.

I didn't plan so. I just was pulling a name out of a hat. I didn't intend for relation to anyone.

Well, you did have your CS up first and Gothic changed his even after he posted so... Maybe you guys are distantly related.

It's a common surname so I doubt it but we could be and not remember I suppose.

Thanks! That's a big help. And I apologize for spending so much time in Nathaniel's head. My most comfortable writing style is from someone's point of view rather than an omniscient narrator.

I reserve the right to move things along. So forgive me if I took a few liberties with your characters. Lord Drenghul has been out for a few days. So long as the majority of the group is posting, the plot will move. Adrian will simply be dragged along in the background. I don't think its too strange for a person whose been turned into a pile of worms to get angsty and all brooding. But MAX won't let him fall behind...

If we get to the end of the episode without Drenghul, then it will be assumed he did stop off somewhere. He's not dead but not active in this episode.

Variation of the same question. Do I get the nifty outfit or is it Elf chick wearing what ever Karen had on before like Bruce hulking out?

We're at an impasse so I think you can join into the game now. Right Oblivion? To answer your question I believe you'd be wearing whatever your human character was wearing; that seems to be the general consensus from what I've read in the IC thread. My own character is only wearing the shorts he had on as the shirt was destroyed in his transformation.

So if we combine outfits we've got a total of one clothed person? Oh well, we're in an emergency, fashion is not the top priority.

It seems as if episode one is now over though. Should be interesting. But it would probably be a good idea to wait for official confirmation.

No equipment means literally no equipment. OK. Can pull a padme and have her stuff strategically torn up. She magically got a six pack worth showing off so I'm showing them off.

Sliverlord, this episode essentially has two main events left, provided that your group goes to them. The next event could have been one of a few, but the final culminating event will have huge consequences on the world you'll be playing the rest of the game in.

The Daily Period will be the survivors dealing with the aftermath and possibly building some sort of society-or devolving into complete chaos in an orgy of killing...or something in between.

Citrakite, Slasher, and Exterminatus,

If you guys want in now, then you'll be placed as one of the individuals being rounded up for the Ember Fiend's sacrifice. Waiting until the episode is over means you will be able to essentially write the story of what happened to your characters over this time period, including other characters you met, saved/killed, and/or initiated relationships with. Basic weapons and armor can be acquired in this way. Provided everyone keeps posting at this rate, then I'd say we'd reach the final event by this coming weekend.

Great post!

Burning Souls are level one, the Ember Fiend is at least level 10. I was able to take down a level one with no real trouble of effort though it did injure me slightly. You guys should be able escape from the Ember Fiend, might not be able to kill her though you should be able to escape. I believe it's the same one from the end of the OP. You guys might even want to kill some of the other people their so you can slow down whatever the elemental is doing.

My last post with the Lv5 metal manbird showed me I need to get myself some chainmail armor, I'm getting injured too easily. Maybe one of the Gymnasiums jerseys were turned into chainmail. I already know football armour would have turned into full metal plate.

Oh and letting the EF finish her ritual doesn't cause a GAMEOVER but the consequences are pretty not good for the campus as a whole...

Nathaniel assumed she would probably be dead since the last thing he was was flames. A logical assumption is slightly premature.

The map is pretty cool and brings hope for the future on if a bit depressing. I'm curious how the future is going to turn out.

Oh I wasn't criticizing. Instead I was trying to imply some nefarious purpose that need not actually be there.

The future is up to you all.

I do admit my plans for this SD are rather ambitious. But I think it's perfectly doable...

The time between posts is slowly increasing, it's depressing. And just for a consensus; which way are we going? Rescue operation or meeting up with the other band of warriors?
