Why does their selection suck so much? At this point I'm almost tempted to reactivate my old Moto W385! :(

Will Verizon ever improve their feature phone selection?

    No, they won't.

They can charge you more for a smartphone and it's associated plan, and more people want them anyway.

They don't want you buying feature phones.

Move to a prepaid carrier, get a smartphone?

I would if I didn't need to pay a $30 fucking dollar per month dataplan. I don't need 3/4G capability. I just want a phone with wifi, low lag time, good camera, bluetooth, and good call quality. In essence an iPod that can make phone calls.

Buy a smartphone off-plan and get some prepaid airtime minutes.
  6. Yep, that's about your options at this point.

Of course, it's better to get a smartphone on a prepaid carrier too. The big 4 wireless carriers in America (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint & T-Mobile) all pretty much practice 'fucking the customer' these days.

You overlooked what I said about prepaid carriers. I have Virgin Mobile. For $35/month you get 300 minutes, and unlimited text and 3G. Cricket, Boost, and Straight Talk are 3 other good options (heck, you can get an unlocked iPhone and use it on Straight Talk).

Well, I've done some more looking and uncovered the ZTE Adamant. Oddly, it's not on Verizon's site even though it's not discontinued. Has anyone heard about this phone?
