    He raises his left eyebrow.

"I can give you a menu. I just have no idea on what to recommend."
  2. Sum Sine Regno The Existentialist

I figured it might be a good time to drop it soon, since it might not work.

I then politely said, "That would be nice"
  3. Widowmaker Most Exalted High Priestess of Genderbending

He pulls out a menu and you are soon seated.
  4. Sum Sine Regno The Existentialist

I begin to look through and decide to order myself a healthy meal, since I did have a figure to watch now. So I decided to order myself a starter soup/salad (soup preferably), a light burger and a side salad, along with a glass of water.
  5. Widowmaker Most Exalted High Priestess of Genderbending

You order your meal and finish it during the next hour.
  6. Sum Sine Regno The Existentialist

I enjoyed it, and asked for the bill, I wasn't going to grab desert tonight, because I didn't want to make myself unhealthy.
  7. Widowmaker Most Exalted High Priestess of Genderbending

The bill came to around 23 dollars.
  8. Sum Sine Regno The Existentialist

I pull the money out of my purse, pay and leave a good tip. I then politely thank the server for the service, and begin to leave.
  9. Widowmaker Most Exalted High Priestess of Genderbending

You leave and are on your way to where you were going.
  10. I finally ended the day and want to sleep with a smile on my face, I had made a lot of progress on my recipes and had discovered the effects of enough potions to be able to make about half the potions list of Skyrim, I'd even been lucky enough to discover two combo recipes. . . One was a Magika Regeneration/Fortify Magika recipe and the other was a Health Regeneration/Fortify One-Handed recipe, both had a moderate duration and strength.

Stumbling out of bed, I manage to get to my feet, not quite sure why I was awake. Stupid freaky dreams. Ah, that was why. No, the thing I was unsure of was why the hell I got up. Well, while I was up, I might as well get a new drink. Stumbling to the kitchen with more grace than usual, I yanked a soda from the fridge. It was on the way back that I caught something out of the corner of my eye. Hair. Going to the mirror, I did not see myself staring back, but my sister. My nonexistent sister, being an only child. A few mirrored movements more than it would have taken a person in a wakeful state of mind to determine, I came to one conclusion.

It's too early for this shit.

    I went back to bed.
    -----------------------
    (0725)
An hour of the morning that wasn't ungodly was when I woke back up. Something told me to check the mirror. After repeating the last little dance of mirrored movements, I could only stare in confusion. Why hadn't I noticed earlier? Well, to be fair, there weren't any balance problems, given that there wasn't a whole lot of extra weight... up there...

Well, at least that settles that hypothesis: I look better as a girl. Still running on autopilot, it took a moment for that to process. And then another moment to remember the freaky dream. And then another spent boggling over why Morgan Freeman and the entire Exalted Incarnae As Represented By The Maiden Of Journeys - I could practically hear the capitals in my head - were the narrators-slash-deal-brokers of it. This dredged up memories of a strange thread on Spacebattles the other day - am I thinking faster? Everything seems more clear... - in a similar situation. I came to my second conclusion for the day.

What's the downside to this again?

It took a moment to remember that it was supposed to getting bent. But that just meant that, technically speaking, I was pitching for the wrong team as of this morning. This body's better anyways, I admitted a bit sheepishly. I was actually stronger now, I realized, and by the lack of tripping or knocking things over, a lot more graceful. I also looked better. I was built like a track runner, and felt like one too. I still couldn't help but think "long lost sister" every time I saw my reflection; but at least some of my clothes would still fit, until I went shopping.

This was a bit much, but it seemed easy to sort through it. Guess I got smarter, too. Connecting shopping with thoughts of money, I recalled the conversations in that thread - which seemed like a cute, nonstandard BROB at the time - about transmuting stuff into gold- my recollection stopped as the wave of memories hit. Ah, so there's how I use that magic stuff.

Sparks jumped across my fingers. It was amazing. Amazing enough that, when a huge roar came out of nowhere, and disappeared as quickly, I ignored it as a figment of my imagination. Confirming that said magic worked - and it looks like I got my favorite spell types too; enchanting, conjuring/summoning, and modification - the first thing I was doing is calling in sick to work. They'd need to find a new school nurse, I reckoned, because this was a seriously opportunity. I could probably wait a day or two, and call in with some BS story about moving with my non-existent fiancee and having to quit. In fact, that line had proven productive with my new voice; it was easy to pretend to be my own fiancee. I gave them my two weeks, letting them know about "our" move, and complaining about getting so damn sick just a couple weeks before it! She bought it, wished "my fiancee" well, and then hinted that they had someone lined up for the spot, meaning said "fiancee" might not have to wait so long to quit.

    First thing's first, though. Breakfast!

Now fed and fully awake, as well as cleaned up, I began to play around with the magic that was given to me. The first thing that came to mind from the list I had built in my head was Telekinesis. The dishes merrily made their way to the sink on their own. Awesome. It was a bit strange, suddenly having all this theoretical spellcraft knowledge. Transmutation was next, as a butter knife floated back. I couldn't tell what it was made of precisely, but it was steel, obviously. A few minutes of focus, going over what I now knew of the spell just to make sure, and I decided to try it. A dull glow, and it didn't look much different. Of course, that's because it has a plating... I gave it a good twist, and it snapped instantly, rendered weak by sapping almost all of the carbon and other alloys out of it, which were now lying on the table. Pressing the ends together, it was easy enough to mend it, and then reinsert the alloys.

This is so awesome it hurts. Oh. The pain was a cut on my finger. For all my new grace, I still couldn't avoid cutting myself. Which is when the healing spell came to mind and I squealed.

It was fascinating. I even fetched my laptop and began taking notes. Ironflesh suggested that Alteration could create alterations in properties, resulting in flexible iron. It also suggested that it altered them to a special frame of reference - my iron skin bent easily when I moved, but was utterly unyielding to other objects. The spell itself was fascinating, though I wasn't sure how deep the transformation was. I didn't feel any slower or more encumbered, which meant that I was either stronger, or the change was entirely relative, with my skin being skin to me, and iron to the outside world.

Realizing I had spent a bit of time messing around with said spell, I grinned to myself as I spotted a brick lying on the counter - meant for use as a structural assistant, aka a brace for my failing table - and hovered the knife up to eye level. I wasn't sure how much force this had, but it couldn't be much, right? The thing shuddered in mid-air - which my knowledge reminded me was because of limits on how small an area telekinesis could affect, causing competing forces - while I aimed it at the block. And then I pushed.

The brick was gone. And so was a chunk of the wall behind it. The knife had shot forward at a staggering speed, tearing through the brick, and embedding itself all the way to its bottom in the stronger brick and concrete wall behind it. The impact had left a crater around the knife. I was torn between holy hell that was cool, oh hell, I just damaged the wall, and oopsies. Given that the wall was basically powdered, I couldn't fit it easily either. I could cheat though! Plugging the hole with brick dust after pulling the knife out, and covering it with paper, it took one quick transmutation to at least make it look like smooth wall.

This was rapidly becoming my favorite spell.

A few minutes later, and recalling information on the spell that it was originally made to transmute things into gold, I had set out to try just that. It was hard, but it worked. I now had two ounces of iron 'nuggets' - produced by shattering high carbon iron with a bound battleaxe - that were transmuted to gold. They looked like actual nuggets, thanks to my time helping father buy and sell the stupid stuff, just pretty large. Most gold mined was fine, ranging from ballpoint pen-tip to dust. Several of these were the size of my pinky nail.

I almost left to sell them to the jeweler before remembering that they need ID. That was a problem... The amount of identification a person had was staggering. I would need to start with a birth certificate - which means a name. Allison White is close enough to my own, and sounds nice... - and then move up to social security, selective service - wait, don't need that anymore, driver's license, and so on. Which meant posing as an immigrant. God dammit.

One shopping trip later, after extracting my money from my account, and I was sitting with real cash, and enough clothes to be comfortable. All pants and t-shirts, of course. Just because I didn't mind the change that much didn't mean I was going to wear a skirt. I also had some simple, and cheap, gold jewelry, some of them with stones. The later would be useful, as something told me that any crystal would work for soul gems; cheap cubic zirconiums would probably be better than raw quartz. Not that idea of soul gems didn't give me the heeby jeebies. Nor was I entirely sure how to enchant things without a table. Could the table just be a pentagram?

Walking all the way to the store had sucked, though. I wasn't tired by it, but it was a boring, long walk spent without any obvious magical experimentation. By the time I was home, I was ready to spend the rest of the day messing around. It was about then that I remembered the others, and realized I had yet to check in. Browsing to the forum thread in particular, I posted. It was strange. I hadn't played the Elder Scrolls games enough to really "get" it, but enough to find it odd seeing a game reference used for our magic.

    With a shrug, I awaited a reply.

"I wonder, could I make a personal shield from a destruction spell? Maybe with Alteration I could run faster, hit harder, and boost myself for a little bit."

My musings led off to other places...

After a few hours of thinking I then realized that I needed to eat.

"Oh yeah, food. I kind of need to eat that."

OOC: I've got quite a bit to to catch up on haven't I?

A couple of days ago something weird happend to me.I had a dream, it all seems so fuzzy now. Somthing about dragons, magic and women. It wan't long until I discovered why. I woke up at night, barely after 2am. There was strange weight on my chest, and move my hand to see what it was.

Jumping out of bed I realise that somthing is wrong. I look in the mirror. I feel like fainting for a minute, I'm a woman? How? Why? I feel new knowledge in my head. Magic. I try out a single spell, candle light. With a wave of a hand a ball of light floats in the air. Already too shocked from changing gender I can only smile, things are going to become very fun.

I put on black jeans and hoodie, they feel so wierd now. I'll need some new clothes. I knew no one would ever believe me, even if I can prove I have the powers there was no reason for them to think it was me with my sudden change of appearance, I had to leave for now. Activating a muffle and invisibility spell I get my backpack, some money, laptop and a copy of skyrim. I also get few sharp knives , just in case. I exit the house before taking one last look back.

In the last few days I experemented with my powers, using invisibility and muffle to steal from shop's, a few fear spells to borrow some wallets. I'll have to move soon even though I made sure no one saw my face, my newly found agility helps a lot with running away. It's a shame I didn't get alteration, it would have been really easy to get rich, although I'd have to find somewhere to sell the gold without gaining suspicion. I rented out a new flat, using a few pacify spells to help reduce the price. I don't plan to stay long

I then remember a thread on the space battles forum, maybe someone else is in the same position as I am.

Wow. how many people have powers like this?

The one who does 40k right? I know that's a joke but isn't the main games workshop HQ in Nottingham? I could get there in a couple of hours. How much fear of god (the blood god in this case) does he need? One or two Atronach's?

Yes, enough to get him to stop making the Ultrasmurfs.

Do you have any mind control spells? What fields of magic do you know? Need any cash wired to you?

I have illusion spells but they don't quite control the mind. They seem to control emotions, I can use some spells that create fear, hate, peace and courage at the moment, not sure if there are others but those are the only ones in the game. I can also use Conjuration and Enchanting.

I'm ok for cash, but I wouldn't mind a little more. If you do, well matt ward will have a very bad day.

  16. Sum Sine Regno The Existentialist

I walked back to my room, and before going to bed, I began to practice my skills in such a way that I could without damaging anything. I walked into the bathroom and began practicing my spells.

FIrst I cast ironflesh on myself. I did a quick test, my skin, and the like still felt normal, and moved normally yet it was difficult to injure myself.

I then practiced my telekinesis, moving various objects around the room, trying for finesse rather than force. I began to spin a round object (piece of soap) around exceedingly fast, making it go faster and faster until, it almost spun out of control. It was a close call, but I didn't break anything yet.

I then had an idea, maybe I could improve my health even further. I concentrated on a healing spell in one hand, and let it flow through my body, I could feel warmth coming from it, and I then concentrated on another in my opposite hand and brought it to my face, I hope that it would heal my vision, and this experiment would make me healthier, and maybe even improve my looks further.

ooc: Mind if you give me some gming for spell effects? I am going to do a post about travelling more eastwards soon
  17. Widowmaker Most Exalted High Priestess of Genderbending

OOC: What do you mean by GMing for spell effects? It seems kind of vague. What kind of vision problems? Health problems?
  18. Sum Sine Regno The Existentialist

ooc: I have to wear glasses, and for health problems, I am talking more generally, basically seeing if I can't force my general health up a few more notches.

And for spell effects I mean, telling me the effects of trying to use a spell in a certain way.
  19. Widowmaker Most Exalted High Priestess of Genderbending

    OOC: Okay.

The warmth courses through your body and stops.

You feel as if you have been submerged in water and the world seems to stop for a brief moment. Your eyes feel soaked but there is no irritation, you blink on reflex.

When you open your eyes there is clarity, as if you were looking through an open window. Details are clearer, colors are brighter and there is no glare.

Your sense of smell is clearer for a moment along with your hearing and taste.

No one else had tried to produce an Arcane Enchanter yet, or even talked about acquiring gems, so it seemed I would be the pioneer there.

    Joy.

First, I needed some souls, even if that was a bit weird compared to the rest of this magic crap. Thankfully, quite a few were flying around. First experiment, is to see if we had any perks like those mentioned. One that was relevant here, and easily tested, was the "Soul Stealer" one that allowed bound weapons to automatically trap them. Having no illusions about my ability to fire a bow I settled on a bound sword after making my way out to the park by the river, which was quite empty in the right parts. The weapon shuddered in midair for a second before rocketing towards a bird sitting on a branch some distance away. Quick and clean, at least, even if the way it... exploded... was a bit surprising. Now, to see if that stored anything in one of these cheap gemstones...

ooc: GM Call: Do we have perks like that? And if I try this again with the spell, how much capacity does a cheap, but well cut gemstone have, and how much are small woodland animals worth? ;]

I quick test my vision out by looking at myself in the mirror and seeing if there is any else that has happened.

I then set my alarm clock for five and went to sleep.

ooc: I am going to write the next day soon.
  23. Widowmaker Most Exalted High Priestess of Genderbending

ooc: Capacity equal to a lesser soul gem. Worth?
  24. Widowmaker Most Exalted High Priestess of Genderbending

You don't really see anything different.
  25. 'So much power.' , I think raising my arms and feeling new power in them . 'I feel so strong, so light. And my magic.' and orb of purple light floats in my hand and then I have a sword , jagged, arcane, sharp and positively demonic and now mine. A Shield of Arcane light arises in my other hand. I stand feeling for all like a mystic knight of legend then I laugh loud long and maniacal from deep in my belly. It is a laugh of joy and achieved dreams.

"I have got to tell Artemis about this."

Post Skype Private:Artemis this is like something right out of a dream. I'm strong. So much of My weight has been supplanted by muscle and I have magic. I summoned a demonic sword and made a ward. Though there is this creepy knowledge about souls and souls empirically exist!.And I'm a girl now. But this is so awesome and something like right out of a dream and I don't know what's going on and oh god what am I going to say to my mom or aunt or grandma. Oh God."
